Oluyemisi Ogunjimi (nee Oluyomi) is a young Nigerian Gospel Artist based in Canada. She’s married and blessed with two sons.

’Yemisi as she’s usually referred to is a songwriter, composer, soloist, a dynamic singer and an inspiring minister of the gospel who has been actively involved in gospel music since the age of 13. She’s blessed with a unique voice and an ability to connect with her listeners through her songs. ’Yemisi’s strength is in her passionate and emotion-packed renditions that minister to her audience and leaves them craving for more. Her appreciation and love for Christ come across in her ability to draw her listeners into the awesome presence of God. Her intention is to encourage Christians to draw closer to God, to remind them of how great He is and to win the non-Christians to the Lord. This purpose is what drives her. Most of all she has a heart for worship.

Her music is a blend of modern contemporary/ inspirational gospel music with some African flavours added. Her recently released CD has been a resource of inspiration and edification to believers and non-believers as well.

She has been featured on popular gospel music program along with other known Canadian Gospel Artists on CTS-TV aired throughout Canada. ’Yemisi has been actively involved in ministry to churches and conferences across Canada, United Kingdom and the USA. ’Yemisi has shared stages with names like Alvin Slaughter, Deborah Klassen, Evangelist ’Dupe Olulana, ’Gbemi Olaleye, Revd. Broda Martyns, Pastor Kunle Ajayi and many more. She has been a member of groups like IVCU choir (Ibadan Varsity Christian Union), Redemption Choir, National Youth Choir of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria and the Z-band of Praise, Lagos, Nigeria. This humble and talented Artist is well known amongst Africans in the Diasporas and has carved a niche for herself as a minister of the gospel.

Originally trained as a biochemist and with a postgraduate training in pharmaceutical technology, ’Yemisi is currently sharing her passion for the Lord through her ministry and has recently voyaged into extending the mission to her fatherland, Nigeria. She definitely has many fruitful years of fulfilling career ahead and no doubt she’s a gift to this generation.
